The Light Within

Inspired by video and photographic studies of the ocean, The Light Within captures a fleeting moment as a wave curls and light passes through its core. I was drawn to the subtle glow within the water - the interplay of soft greens, golds, and muted grays that reveal both movement and depth.

Through layered pastel, I sought to balance the strength of the wave with a sense of quiet luminosity - an expression of both energy and stillness within the same moment.
