The Bend Ahead

Inspired by photographs and videos from a journey through the Yellowstone region of Montana, The Bend Ahead captures a quiet moment along a mountain river as it winds through a forest of towering pines. Sunlight filters across the landscape, illuminating the water and distant hills while drawing the eye toward a bend in the river that disappears from sight.

The painting reflects the sense of possibility often found in nature - a reminder that while we cannot always see what lies ahead, there is beauty in the journey itself. The river becomes both a pathway and a metaphor, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and embrace the promise of discovery around the next bend.
